This all really happened by accident. In my normal life, I'm a software engineer in Silicon Valley. I also enjoy R/C. I've wanted an inexpensive autogyro model that would be easy to fly, but there weren't a lot of kits to choose from. So following advice from Jim Baxter at www.autogyro.com and a lot of helpful folks at RCGroups' autogyro forum, and a lot of experimentation, I came up with a simple design that worked. And then people started asking for kits! So I ran some numbers and put a test batch together. The batch sold better than I expected, so I went into production.
So there you have it - build a good mousetrap and people will beat a path to your door. Enjoy the kit!
